[Report] Experience the Depth of Learning! Special Spring Training Session

During this special spring holiday event, we held a training session for practitioners from white belt to green belt (6th kyu). Under the guidance of Naka sensei, participants thoroughly studied the correct form of basic movements and the techniques' course.

Below are comments from the participants:

Male: In regular training, it is rare for someone at my stage to receive direct instruction from Naka sensei. This time, I was fortunate to receive detailed guidance, which was very beneficial. I was able to identify areas where I lacked understanding or was not executing correctly, helping me focus on what to improve in future training.

Female: It was a really enjoyable session! I was able to relearn the basics, making it a very fulfilling experience.

Male: In regular training, I often lack confidence in the correct way to stand, punch, and block. Sometimes, I simply follow along without truly understanding the proper technique. Being given this opportunity to learn the fundamentals properly was invaluable.

Additionally, the session taught us step-by-step how to use our bodies efficiently, allowing me to experience the depth of both karate and human anatomy. A particularly memorable part was the realization of how weight shifts within the soles of our feet when moving forward and backward, and how chest movement differs between high and mid-level punches.

I hope to internalize each of these elements so that someday they will naturally integrate into my movements. I will continue to train diligently!

Female: Today's thorough instruction on the fundamentals was incredibly valuable. It reaffirmed the importance of basic movements. Since I just started training, I am still unsure how today's practice will connect to my future development, but I am eager to improve step by step.

Male: Focusing on the fundamentals in today's training session was an excellent learning experience, and above all, very enjoyable. Compared to regular practice, the smaller group allowed for more personalized instruction, which I found really helpful. What stood out to me the most was the way to properly extend my arm.

I would love to participate in training sessions with various themes in the future!

Female: I received detailed guidance on fundamental stance, punching, and weight shifting. It was eye-opening to realize how much the quality of techniques improves simply by adjusting my gaze and awareness. I understand the concepts intellectually, but now I need to repeatedly practice until they become second nature!

I will take to heart Naka sensei's words: "Keep at it until it sinks into your bones. Persistence is about bones!" I will continue self-training with dedication. On the way home, I already started feeling muscle soreness!
